Dawn of Alina is 3D fantasy RPG that follows the journey of a young woman seeking to balance the forces of lightness and darkness in her world. This game was created and developed by MonRiverGames, a non-profit dedicated to supporting aspiring developers, artists, and game designers.
After joining MonRiverGames during the Summer 2022 session, I began working on Dawn of Alina as a sound designer and developer. My first task was creating background ambient tracks for the various locations Alina would travel to. I also created sound effects for each of Alina's spells. In addition to sound design and music creation, I also worked on mechanics such as character animation and dialogue. I synced the sound effects I created to the walking and spellcasting animations. Using the dialogue system, I implemented other teammate's written scripts into the game.
As of 11/1, this game is still in progress.
